Our trips are designed for curious, active travelers of all levels – no hiking or rafting experience required.
Expect days filled with trekking, exploring, and afternoons meandering through beautiful places – always at your own pace. Every itinerary is built with flexible options and alternate routes. No elite athleticism required – just a willingness to dive in.
Groups are intentionally small (usually 10 to 14 guests) so it feels more like a crew than a crowd. You’ll travel alongside couples, friends, solo adventurers, and grown-up families who are all in for the ride.
Prefer your own space? A single supplement ($800) secures a private room at our boutique lodges. Private rooms may not be available during our overnight at the rifugio in Slovenia or The Dolomites.
Every Moondance Travel Co. trip comes packed with the good stuff: luxury or boutique stays, expert local guides, and a dedicated Moondance host to keep the magic rolling. All meals, snacks, and select wines are included. You’ll enjoy exclusive access to local experiences, top-tier gear, park fees, and in-country transportation – everything you need for a seamless, unforgettable journey.

- Any services or activities not specifically listed as included in the itinerary
Once we confirm your space, we’ll ask you to secure your reservation with a $1000 deposit. The deposit is fully refundable up to 7 days after initial booking. Final payment is due by April 01.
We’re starting small on purpose – because the best moments don’t happen in a crowd. With fewer guests, every conversation lasts longer, every meal feels like friends around a table, and every view is yours to soak in. Space is limited by design, and once a trip fills, it’s gone. If it’s calling your name, now’s the time to say yes.
A $1,000 deposit holds your spot. You can cancel within 7 business days of payment for a full refund; after that, a $500 fee applies before final payment, and no refunds are available after. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment.
We do not require travel insurance but strongly recommend it since life can throw a few curve balls. Coverage typically includes unexpected medical needs, baggage loss, emergency evacuation, and health related cancellations. Check out Activity Insurance and Travel Insured for a personalized quote. Certain coverage requires purchasing insurance within 7 days of making your deposit. Other options allow you to purchase prior to paying your final balance.

We partner closely with our in-country DMCs (Destination Management Companies) and expert local guides to handle logistics, cultural insight, and on-the-ground problem-solving. Your Moondance Host is there for anything you need—big or small. Guests enjoy 24/7 emergency support, in-country transfers, gear assistance, medical coordination, and flexible activity options. Every detail is handled so you can focus on the experience.
Our guides are the real deal – seasoned pros and local legends who bring each destination to life. With a high guide-to-guest ratio, you get insider access, personalized attention, and stories you won’t find in any guidebook.
Most guests book their own flights directly with their preferred airline or travel concierge. We’re happy to provide guidance on optimal routes, arrival and departure windows, and any helpful travel tips. We recommend arriving 1–2 days early to explore the area at your own pace and adjust to the time zone before the trip begins.
Yes. We work with local partners to accommodate allergies, dietary preferences, and medical needs. Advance notice is required to ensure seamless service.

Our trips are designed for guests who are at least 22 years old (out of college). If you have younger children you’d like to travel with, we encourage you to reach out for private trip options.
We will give you a call within 1 business day to let you know the status of your reservation. If we have space available, we’ll collect a deposit and send you the general itinerary and a Guest Information form to complete. We’ll send this information to your traveling companions too.
