Hayes has 30 years of adventure travel experience and is the original spark behind Moondance Travel Co.
He is the founder of Moondance Travel Co. and the visionary behind Moondance Adventures, which has grown over the last 31 years into one of the most beloved teen travel companies in the country. He believes shared experiences make life richer and has dedicated his career to creating journeys that inspire connection, curiosity, and joy.
MK builds relationships, shares the story, and infuses each trip with hospitality and energy.
MK has never met a place she didn’t love – or an adventure she didn’t chase. A UNC-Chapel Hill grad with a master’s from the University of Colorado Boulder, she’s explored from Alaska to Australia and everywhere in between. An early Moondance leader, she launched the company’s first adult kayaking trips in the San Juans. She now calls Boulder home, where she and her husband, Henry and three Moondance kids trade ski boots for hiking shoes with the seasons.
Anna is the detail-master who makes every trip seamless from outfitter partnerships to logistics.
A Birmingham native, Anna has always run toward adventure. A track and cross-country athlete, she double-majored in Marketing and Spanish at Mississippi State before studying abroad in Spain, where her love of travel took off. With a master’s in Marketing from the University of Florida and Moondance trips in South Africa and Croatia under her belt, she now channels that bold, curious energy into Moondance Travel Co.
Banks shapes the look, feel, and words behind Moondance, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our ethos.
Banks hails from Dothan, Alabama, with a B.A. in Graphic Design and an M.A. in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Alabama. Her love for branding sparked in Innsbruck, Austria, when she studied abroad and grew on a 2023 Moondance trip to Italy. As Brand Director for Moondance Adventures, she’s honed the art of storytelling—and now brings that creative spark and Southern charm to Moondance Travel Co.

Originally from Marietta, Ohio, Noah headed to Nashville to attend Lipscomb University, earning a degree in Accounting. His love of the outdoors started at church camp in Maine and grew during a three-month study abroad program in Chile. After stints in real estate, accounting, and outdoor retail, he’s swapping spreadsheets for sunsets – bringing his adventurous streak and steady hand to Moondance Travel Co.
